Different appearance, same wide-ranging suitability
In terms of appearance, Residence 7 and Residence 9 windows differ quite dramatically, despite both featuring a flush exterior. Residence 7 windows epitomise contemporary styling; they utilise clean, symmetrical sightlines and slender frames, appearing instantly appealing. As a result, they look fantastic on modern new builds, although they also lend themselves to more traditional homes too.
Residence 9 windows, on the other hand, are much more traditionally styled, boasting of an appearance that replicates traditional timber windows. This means they’re a great fit for rural cottages, Victorian and other period properties. But, like their Residence 7 counterparts, they can be adapted to suit more contemporary homes too.
Masterful use of technology for increasing comfort and convenience
Residence 9 window profiles are fitted with 9 chambers and Residence 7 windows with seven. The purpose of these chambers is to trap heat, resulting in a much warmer home that costs less to heat. As a result of their multi-chambered profiles, both types of window are able to achieve levels of thermal insulation at the top of the market, achieving Window Energy Ratings of ‘A+’ with ease.
Not only will Residence 9 windows keep your home feeling cosy, but they’ll also keep any unwanted visitors outside. This is due to their advanced multi-point locks, which reinforce the windows at various points in their frames. uPVC is also known for how easy it is to clean, so you needn’t worry about using up too much of your free time keeping these windows clean.
Fine period detailing that allows you to get around conservation guidelines
If you live in a conservation area, there’s a good chance that your window replacement options are limited. The same can also be said for anyone who happens to live in the New Forest, Cranborne Chase or the Dorset Area of Outstanding Natural Beauty. However, there’s no reason you can’t enjoy a high-performance window system just because you find your options limited.
This is where our Residence 9 windows come in. When they are made, they’re constructed to strict 19th Century timber window guidelines. The result of which is a traditional flush exterior and deep window cills. Because of their authentic appearance, they are regularly approved for use in conservation areas and others where Article 4 directions are in place.
Alter the subtle nuances to create a unique window feature
It’s important that you’re able to make the windows truly feel your own and the only way you can do that is if you’re able to customise a number of the window’s components. Fortunately, windows from the Residence Collection afford you such an opportunity. Choose from monkey tail and pear drop design handles, both of which provide the perfect complement to that heritage look.
For something that replicates a more contemporary appearance, you can opt for a tear drop handle instead. Additionally, choose from working butt hinges or dummy butt hinges and showcase some fine ironmongery on the exterior of your window.
With colour options ranging from the ultra-subtle to the bright and bold, you can adapt the look of our Residence Collection windows so they’re perfect for your home.Get a quote
